Description

Manages complex and high impact projects within the organization. Leads a team of Project Managers providing leadership, practices, support and training for a project and portfolio management practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees the production of project plans and approves them, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with both the organization’s project and program framework and with the organization’s wider governance structure and processes.
  • Plan and lead the delivery of a range of information gathering, analysis and stakeholder consultation activities and specify, negotiate and agree on project deliverables.
  • Plan and coordinate the identification of requirements; conduct analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment; document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project and coordinate the verification of the end deliverables
  • Manage identification of risks, issues, discrepancies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating these matters where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on and implement solutions to overcome these concerns.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Provide stakeholders with accurate and relevant information and key recommendations at established review points to enable them to evaluate progress and agree on change.
  • Lead a small to medium project team, communicating the project vision and necessary outcomes along with guidance to achieve the outcomes.
  • Coordinate team actions on project activities, coordinate the flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed identify areas of improvement to build the capability of the team through coaching, training and mentoring
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Proven change management experience
  • Ability to effectively lead a team
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all staff and management levels.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data sets to determine trends, establish strategies, and make decisions
  • Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative and innovative in a dynamic, fast paced matrix team environment to include customers, vendors, and technical architects and engineers
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Bilingual language skills in Spanish / English are a plus
