Zhengzhou is the capital of Henan Province in the central part of China. It is one of the National Central Cities in China, and serves as the political, economic, technological, and educational center of the province, as well as a major transportation hub in China (highway, railway, aviation, communication). The Zhengzhou metropolitan area is the core area of the Central Plains Economic Zone.

The city lies on the southern bank of the Yellow River, and is one of the Eight Great Ancient Capitals of China. As a center of China’s national transportation network, there are railways connecting Zhengzhou and Europe, and a bustling international airport (Asia, Europe, Africa, America, Oceania).

Main Responsibilities

-Student ages: 3 to 18 years old
-Lesson planning
-Use audio / video materials in classes
-Cooperate with the CM and DOS in ensuring the constructive communication and efficient operation of the centre
-Assist in the placement testing and interviewing of new students
-Carry out teaching related responsibilities including, but not limited to demonstration classes, conversation clubs, tutorials, seminars and presentations
-Attend centre social events

Compensation

-Monthly package: 17,000 RMB (based on hours taught)
-Free accommodation provided or housing allowance of 1,500 RMB per month
-9,000 RMB flight allowance provided (4,500 RMB paid after 6 months, and another 4,500 RMB paid on contract completion)
-Option for school to pay for flight to China up front. Cost will then be deducted from teacher’s paycheck after arrival
-Contract Hour Fulfillment Bonus of up to 1000 RMB
-Performance Appraisal Bonus of up to 1,000 RMB per month
-Airport pickup upon arrival
-End of year salary increase based on performance
-All public holidays plus 10 days personal holidays
-Legal ‘Z’ work visa provided
-Full reimbursement of visa application and document authentication-related costs incurred outside China (based on provided official receipts/invoices)

Requirements

-Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa
-Bachelor’s degree or above
-TEFL certificate 120 hours plus required (No TEFL? – We recommend INTESOL )
-Plenty of passion and energy
-2 years of teaching experience preferred (non-experienced teachers are welcome to apply)
