Job Summary: The Senior Methods and Tool Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining engineering methods and tool in alignment with industry standards, including ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity requirements. This position supports cross-functional engineering teams by optimizing processes and toolsets that promote quality, consistency, and compliance in automotive development activities. The role also leads Engineering Process Quality Assurance (EPQA) efforts, ensuring adherence to established engineering processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities: - Define and implement engineering methods that align with industry standards, including ASPICE and ISO 26262.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of best practices into the development life cycle.
- Support the evaluation, selection, and integration of tools that support compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cyber security standards.
- Analyze existing engineering processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry standards, particularly ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cyber security.
- Develop engineering quality assurance processes including assessment checklists and reports.
- Execute quality assurance audits of engineering deliverables on projects for phase/gate activities.
- Develop training programs to educate engineering teams on methods, tools, and compliance standards.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Position Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience related to engineering process development, preferably in the automotive or defense industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the ASPICE standards required.
- In depth knowledge in industry standards such as ISO 26262 and cyber security preferred.
- Experience documenting process flows in tools like Enterprise Architect or preferably Stages.
- Experience leading internal ASPICE or equivalent engineering process audits.
- Experience in performing internal quality assurance assessments for engineering deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in a team and individually.
- Proven ability to analyze problems and find solutions.
- Certifications related to ASPICE, ISO 26262, or cyber security preferred.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies preferred.
